ArtSmudge Paper Weaving

Paper weaving is great way to get that brain-to-hand connection. With a little planning, this art project can be a high-efficiency lesson, with low maintenance, and makes surprisingly complicated patterns.

ArtSmudge Paper Weaving supplies

To start you’ll need heavy weight paper, 2 sheets cut square, a watercolor set, paint brush, and scissors. I used decorative scissors to change it up a bit.

Next, take the second square and cut 1 inch strips. You won’t use all the strips but you can save them for a rainy day project. Weave in alternate rows. Tape ends to stay put.
